Who’s Who?

4D – Miss Dawson 4A – Miss Anson

We are really lucky to have some incredible teaching assistants working across both classes. You will see them at different points throughout the week in your classroom, but they are always around to help you.

On a Wednesday, Miss Dawson and Miss Anson have their PPA, Mrs Horton will be teaching you on alternative weeks.

Our Week

Monday: PE Day. Please come to school in your PE uniform and make sure you have taken all your jewellery off before coming to school.

Wednesday: Mrs Horton will be teaching in year 4 alternating between classes each week.

Friday: Spelling Test. New spellings will be sent home and homework will be set. TTrockstars and Abacus will be set fortnightly.

Please make sure you bring your homework diary and reading diary in every day. You need to be reading every day at home and we will look through your diaries every week to count towards your certificates.

Our Topics

Autumn Term: Ruthless Romans! We will be learning all about the Romans and how they have impacted our life in Britain today. We are having a Roman Day on 28^th September and in November we will become archaeologists over a couple of days with the help of Vibrant Warsop! In Science, we will be learning about states of matter and carrying out an investigation involving chocolate….yum! Then, we will be learning about sound and how we hear them. You will have the chance to create your own marching theme tune for the Roman Army and investigate how far sound travels.

Our book this term is: Romans on the Rampage by Jeremy Strong.
