Week beginning  13^th March is British Science Week.  We will be having a special delivery of eggs and an incubator to hopefully hatch some very special visitors!  The children will get the chance to see the eggs hatching and watch the chicks grow over the next two weeks.  They might also get a little cuddle!  It is a fantastic opportunity for us to watch and think about the process and how to look after chicks. 

15^th March 2023

For British Science Week Sherwood Junior School have had some chicken eggs delivered.  The eggs are in the Year 6 Learning Support Room.  Some people have said that they heard tapping from the eggs today.

This morning there were three baby chicks hatched!  There are boys and girls.  We enjoyed seeing the cute baby chicks.  They were cheeping, it was exciting.  We had to be really quiet when we were looking at them.

Update: this afternoon, two more chicks have hatched!
